When Kim created Bella Rose, it was important to her to be able to support other small businesses, her local community, and cause-related programs. This month we want to shine a light on a brand that we are proud to carry in our store because of how they are giving back to their community and other impacting lives: Musee.
Musee makes handcrafted, natural bath products in Madison County, Mississippi with the mission of “restoring lives by providing dignified work for vulnerable people in their community.” They primarily hire women in recovery, people with disabilities, and people who have lived in chronic poverty. Musee partners with an organization called Crossroads, which is a place of refuge where women can put the pieces of their lives back together after spending time in prison, treatment centers, or abusive situations. Crossroads provides a safe and positive environment while encouraging women to find jobs and live on their own.
Musee also partners with Schools for Haiti. In Haiti, only 55% of children attend school. Of that number, only 2% graduate high school. Most children come to school hungry every day. With eight schools and over five thousand kids that have gone through their program, Schools for Haiti is helping change those statistics.
We love how Musee is giving back, and we also love that their products are designed to heal and nourish your skin. They ethically source the finest ingredients from all over the world and use natural ingredients to make all of their products. Their bath balms, soaps, and soaks are made of essential oils and natural oils. They pair them with amazing ingredients like milk bath and organic honey to soften and moisturize your skin. Their products are all handmade in the USA.
We carry Musee bar soaps, regular bath balms, surprise bath balms, bath balm gift sets, bath soaks, and shower steamers!
